After initially drawing an outline shape, Fi creates her bold and bright artworks from sheets of coloured paper by cutting, folding and layering. She then carefully places and raises each piece in place to give a three dimensional effect.

Silhouette portraits are hand cut by Fi from high quality, 135gsm, coloured paper using a side on photograph supplied by you. Photos must be carefully taken so that an accurate portrait can be achieved and instructions will be sent with confirmation of your booking.
Fi offers a range of paper colour choices and frame options to suit different interiors, and is very happy to colour match to provided paint and fabric swatches. You can add hand painted spacers within her box frames or, coming soon, Fi can frame your portraits individually in more traditional, hand painted wooden frames. Please see examples below and use the contact page to select your preferences.
From a final approved photo, please allow 2-3 weeks for a finished silhouette portrait.

All frames come with a post friendly acrylic glaze, and are hand made in the UK. Please let Fi know if you would rather your commission framed using glass. This obviously comes with damage risks via the post, so you are welcome to arrange collection by hand.
